Open Gmail and compose a draft with placeholders like {{First Name}}. Save it in a dedicated folder. Beginners often type the placeholders directly into the email body without matching Zapier’s variable syntax, causing the email to be sent with raw tags.
When the workflow runs, Zapier will replace the placeholders with actual values from the sheet. Keep the subject line short and include a clear call‑to‑action; this improves open rates in real campaigns.
